Tails of the Free

Tails of the Free is a small rescue located primarily in Chester County Pa. We pull animals from local trappers, owner surrenders and from high kill shelters. While we primarily handle cats, we do adopt out a small number of dogs every year.

How do you do it?

Tails of the Free is made up entirely of volunteers and we survive on adoption fees and donations. It is through the dedication of all our volunteers that we are able to save the animals that we do.

We have many needs for volunteers from small to large. It can be something as simple as a holiday foster, that is someone who takes a cat for a night or two when the stores are close. Our most needed volunteer positions are simply taking care of the cats that are in the stores. Making the kennels look their best, ensuing the cats are cared for and socialized allows potential adopters to see the animals in their best light.
